This workshop will show you the beauty and wonder of wildlife art. With the use of watercolours, gouache

and air brushing it will enable you not only to paint feathers and fur, but to paint attitude, character and

photo quality within your subject. You will position your subject, paint the surrounding habitat and give a totally realistic look to your art. Composition is the main attribute to any painting and with this achieved the technique used will excite and enthral not just the artist but the viewer. It’s a fun course and a time to learn how to manage this medium using different techniques to create these wonderful natural creatures.

The backgrounds and the “props” of wildlife art are important when you are painting realism.

You will be shown different ways of tackling this. I will endeavour to show you how any water based medium can

be used to achieve the same effect I get with my work. It’s amazing how the use of the airbrush technique can achieve photo realism. This course will be enthralling, exciting and totally fulfilling…painting nature can be fun..

Don't let the word watercolour put you off as my technique is dry brushing and not wet on wet.

Suitable for all levels of artists (beginner to experienced).
